10 THINGS TO DO IN DENVER IN MARCH 2018

Spring is just around the corner, raise your hand if you’re excited! With more hours of daylight, March is a wonderful time to get out and explore Denver’s performances and local happenings around town. Whether you want to explore an indoor event, brave the warming temps with an outdoor activity, dive into something cultural, or sample some delicious cuisine, there are options for everyone!   1. Experience Denver Fashion Week

Where: Wings Over The Rockies (March 18-25), McNichols Building (March 19-20) and Seawell Ballroom (March 23)

What: A collection of Denver’s emerging designers, local boutiques and national brands. The show includes a children’s fashion performance, a bridal runaway, workshops, trunk shows and more.

  1. Watch The Award-Winning Musical Hamilton

Where: Buell Theater, Denver
When: February 27-April 1
How Much: Starting at $175 (A digital lottery for ten $40 tickets per show will be made available beginning 2/27)
What: This Pulitzer Prize winning musical has garnered acclaim from critics around the world. Based on the life of one of America’s Founding Fathers, Alexander Hamilton, the musical will take you back in time to watch the story of how our nation was built.

  1. Explore Downtown With A Denver Walking Tour!

Where: Begins at the Veterans Memorial in downtown Denver
When: Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-12pm

What: An interactive and informative way to spend a morning! Learn more about your town by exploring monuments, architecture and other Denver landmarks.

  1. Learn Some Magic At The Melting Pot

Where: The Melting Pot in Littleton
When: Every Tuesday from 5:00pm-7:00pm
How Much: Free with the purchase of dinner
What: Nationally renowned magician Dennis Micheal will be performing his best tricks and illusions every Tuesday at the Melting Pot. Kids 12 and under eat free!

  1. Check Out The Grand Opening of Zeppelin Station

Where: The RTD station at 38th and Blake
When: Grand opening is March 12
How Much: Varies
What: Set in the eclectic RiNo neighborhood, Zeppelin Station’s grand opening features food vendors, retail shops, bars and coworking spaces. The food market includes Montreal-style meats, Indian street food, Korean fusion, Vietnamese coffee and more.

  1. Attend The Denver Home Show

Where: National Western Stockshow Complex
When: March 23-25
How Much: Online tickets: $9, Box Office tickets: $11
What: As one of the largest home shows in Denver, it showcases trends in landscaping, remodeling, interior design, and home improvement.

  1. Experience The Denver Polar Plunge & 5K

Where: Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park
When: March 11 from 9:00am-Noon
How Much: $35 to run, $75 to plunge (it includes a free beer, a ticket to Elitch Gardens for the 2018 season, and additional swag)
What: Take the plunge, run the race (or both!) to support over 22,000 Colorado athletes with intellectual disabilities.

  1. Take Advantage of a FREE Day At Denver Botanic Gardens

Where: Denver Botanic Gardens
When: March 22
How Much: Free
What: With more than 24 acres of plants and flowers, the gardens host a variety of different displays and collections from all over the world.

  1. The Spring Fling At The Urban Farm

Where: The Urban Farm in Stapleton
When: March 31 from 10am-12pm
How Much: $5/admission, Kids 2 and under are free
What: The farm creates a unique and educational experience, teaching guests about animals & horticulture in an intimate setting. Learn about chickens and rabbits, pet the animals, feed the roosters and hunt for Easter Eggs!

  1. Watch The St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Where: Downtown Denver
When: March 17 at 9:30am
How Much: Free
What: A parade celebrating St. Patrick’s day that features a variety of vehicles, bands, music, dances, floats and more. Don’t forget to wear green!
