As I was getting ready for a weekend mountain trip with my family last Friday I decided it was time to get some routine vehicle maintenance done before we hit the road. I took the truck in to our local Grease Monkey off of 8th and Santa Fe for an oil change. As you know there is some time to burn while waiting for your turn in line so I walked a block up the street to see what was new in the area. On the corner on 9th and Santa Fe in the Arts District there was a nice little gem on the corner called Joe Maxx coffee shop. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in the door to this cozy neighborhood coffee shop. The vintage exposed brick walls are lined with local Art and the coffee was delicious! It has several tables and couches for meetings with clients or having breakfast with the family. If you prefer to be outside there is an exterior deck off of the back to soak out some rays on Sunday Denver days. I always like to try the new local businesses that come to the city and Joe Maxx gets two thumbs up from me!
